Crowns

Reasons you may need a crown can be because you had a root canal, an implant, or large decay. Different types of crowns include silver, gold, zirconia, porcelain, porcelain fused to metal, etc., but Dr. H prefers solid zirconia depending on the location in mouth.

The process involved in making a crown starts with impressions. Dr. H will then reduce the tooth size and create margins in which the crown will seat and seal on. After this is completed, another impression is taken. You and the Dr. will select the tooth shade that best matches your mouth. The impression and shade is then sent to the lab for fabrication.

Once we have received the crown from the lab, Dr. H checks for proper fit and occlusion then adheres your crown with a permanent cement.
